Peter-Fraser Ferry – 2013

The Peter Fraser is a double-ended ferry with a reinforced hull that can withstand being beached at low tide. Built for the Société des Traversiers du Québec, it is the first ship with hybrid electric-diesel/battery propulsion in North America, designed for the specific needs of the crossing between the village of L’Isle-Verte and the island municipality of Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs in the Bas-St-Laurent.
